Can I obtain FEMA Flood insurance in a CBRA zone?

Can I obtain FEMA Flood insurance in a CBRA zone?

The Coastal Barrier Resources Act (CBRA) zones are areas along the U.S. coastline that are designated to minimize development and conserve natural resources. FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) typically does not provide flood insurance coverage for properties located within CBRA zones.

If your property is located in a CBRA zone, you generally cannot obtain NFIP flood insurance through FEMA. However, there are some private insurance companies that Barefoot Insurance Brokers work with that may offer flood insurance coverage for properties in CBRA zones, although coverage options and premiums may vary.
